Kozy Shack Puddings and Desserts

NY, CA and Ireland Plants
In 1993, Kozy Shack Puddings needed a firm to help them relocate from a small overcrowded food processing building in Mineola NY to a new operation located on 7 acres in Hicksville NY. They hired GSA to design their full operation inside what was once Ronzoni’s food processing facility. We designed and managed the project which moved the facility in under 6 months into their new home. We added a milk truck receiving dock with two milk silos, cooking equipment with 4 new 300 gallon Chester Jensen’s cooker coolers, 4 existing 100 gallon cook kettles, 4 new blast rolling rack chillers cooled from a central ammonia refrigeration plant, 4 Hamba 4 ounce in line cup fillers and two modern packaging multi lane 16 ounce cup fillers to produce rice, tapioca, vanilla and flan in various cups from 4 ounces up to 2 lbs.

As the product line grew, we helped Kozy shack grow with additional kettles, Packaging equipment , automated conveying and continuous cooling systems, continuous packaging lines, additional ammonia refrigeration equipment , test kitchens, lunch rooms, labs, pilot kitchens, etc.

Then, the following year, we added a 20,000 square foot refrigerated storage and shipping building with 6 loading docks connected by an above ground refrigerated passageway to distribute all the facilities products.
